Alan Emtage
Former student Alan Emtage invented the Internet’s first search engine, “Archie”, a precursor to Yahoo! and Google. He is also a founding member of the Internet Society (ISOC) and sits on the board of the National Science Foundation
Sports & Athletics
Obadele Thompson
Former student Obadele Thompson is Barbados’ only individual Olympic medal winner, copping Bronze at the 2000 Games. He actually held the record for the fastest 100m in the world, but it was wind aided at 9.69s. Only Tyson Gay and Usain Bolt have clocked faster times.

Nicholas Brancker
Nicholas is a Barbadian muscal icon. An eminent bassist, producer and composer, he has worked with international stars such as Eddie Grant and, in particular, Roberta Flack. Nicholas’ phenomenal work has been recognized with a grammy nomination.
